Hi, I'm Lily! I am in charge of planting the trees on our farm. The first thing I do is to pick the right trees to plant. Did you know some trees grow better in certain parts of the country? Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, Nordmann Fir and Noble Fir trees grow best in the Pacific Northwest. The Midwest and the East Coast is where Fraser Fir likes to grow. If you would like to know more about the trees that we grow, click here. We plant seedlings in the spring before it gets too hot for them to take root. It takes a long time for a seedling to grow into a tree nice enough to take home, nearly 8 years! It's worth the wait, though.
